A 2023 Ford F-250 towing an RV while driving down the road near Lancaster, OH

The verdict is in: the 2023 Ford F-250 is one of the best heavy-duty trucks on the market. This versatile and capable vehicle has undergone a complete 2023 redesign, offering a plethora of reasons to fall in love with this year’s model.

New for 2023

This year, both the interior and exterior of the F-250 have been revamped. Functional side vents and Ford’s signature C-clamp lighting adorn the outside, while an all-new dashboard is modern and sports a new digital instrument cluster. Under the hood, there’s a brand new 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 diesel engine for those looking to make the switch to a partially electric car. The existing gas V8 has undergone refined tuning and a revised air intake.

Potent Engine Options

Four outstanding engines are available with this year’s F-250. The base 6.2-liter V8 makes 400 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque, which is plenty of oomph for towing and hauling. A 7.3-liter V8 makes 430 horsepower and 485 pound-feet of torque and the aforementioned 6.7-liter turbodiesel makes either 475 horsepower and 10,50 pound-feet of torque or 500 horsepower and 1,200 pound-feet of torque, depending on its modifications.

Highly Capable

The F-250 can tow up to an incredible 23,000 pounds if you equip it with a gooseneck trailer hitch. Otherwise, you’ll still get an astounding capacity between 13,800 and 20,000 pounds. It’s available in two different box sizes, so take your pick between a 6-foot-9-inch bed which holds 65.4 cubic feet of cargo, and an 8-foot bed which holds 78.5 cubic feet of cargo. Depending on the configuration you choose, you’ll achieve a maximum payload of 3,793 pounds.

Outstanding Technology

As well as a slick and easy-to-use infotainment system, the F-250 comes with great tech that’s made specifically for a truck, like a payload weight-limit warning system, trailer and tailgate camera views, and Pro Trailer Backup Assist. An 8-inch touchscreen, smartphone connectivity, a four-speaker stereo, and Bluetooth come standard. Satellite radio, a 12-inch touchscreen, wireless device charging, navigation, and either an 8 or 18-speaker stereo from Bang & Olufsen are also available.

Stay Safe

Enjoy peace of mind on the road thanks to a host of available driver-assistance features. Pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, intersection assist, front and rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, stop-and-go adaptive cruise control, forward and reverse collision warning, adaptive headlights, rain-sensing windshield wipers, head-up display, vehicle exit warning, tailgate-down camera, and a surround-view camera are up for grabs, while a rearview camera comes standard.
